This is very vintage in my eyes. Any piece redone in this way will have a vintage look.

Yes, I see the resemblance. LOL You could almost construct a shield with them, eh?

Ornate design is intriguing to me. For no other purpose than to decorate, the designs have an historical significance as well as universal use, it seems.
