The wamp project features the best apache/php/mysql server solution for windows. It’s very easy to setup and they offer assistance through support forums.

I used to host my Driver Genius website on my own server, but I since had to downgrade to DSL and it simply couldn’t handle the traffic, lol. I now pay for hosting, though it’s not that expensive and it’s doing me well so far. Thanks for the info though, this would be great for running a simple website for family members or something.
