According the the Bauhaus website fully 1/2 of the Bauhaus students were women. Check out the site: http://bauhaus-online.de/en
They are having a Conference there right now:
“Removed: Women of the Bauhaus during the National Socialist period – persecution and exile.” that focuses on the work of 4 major women students.

The Bauhaus is the basis of the designers and the designs of today. The graphics that takes place today, largely born there.
